I logged in here the other day for the first time in a really looong time just to see what's new, and to try to upload a picture of my painting in progress (which attempt was unsuccessful, by the way).

I haven't posted anything in well over a year, due to one thing after another stealing my creative mojo and so I was surprised when I had over 900 messages.  How could that possibly be?  

I had my answer when I started reading the notes of congratulation and the compliments on Under the Spreading Chestnut Tree.  I realized that back in December it was featured as a Daily Deviation!

I can't tell you how good that made me feel, and it was kind of a note of reinforcement that, yes, I maybe should do more of this painting thing in the future.  Just maybe....


(By the way, if you left me a message or a favorite and I haven't gotten back to you it's because I am just now slowly working my way through all those messages, so a blanket thank you to everyone in case I miss anyone!)
